About
Cornell Health International (CHI) is a student organization at Cornell University that works to raise awareness of global health issues at Cornell University and to provide members the opportunity to develop student-led service projects in international health. Our adviser is Prof. Michael Latham, Professor Emeritus in International Nutrition. The organization was founded in Spring 2006 by Julia Tian ‘08 and Alisa Mo ‘08.
» Our Goals:
- To educate undergraduates about pressing health issues in developing countries through free exchange of ideas within the framework of speaker presentations, round table discussions, and a quality publication.
- To provide opportunities for undergraduates to participate in challenging global health service projects with help from peers and professionals.
- To encourage undergraduate leaders to create and sustain a growing organization with national and international collaborations.
- To inspire academic, scientific, and cultural inquisitiveness about our world’s important issues in health and its dynamic relationship with government, society, and technology.
